Multiply Your Results with Teamwork
Teams
can simply do more than an individual and the only way to perform at your peak
is to be part of a team.
If
you want to achieve something really big, something of value, then do it as
part of a team. One is just too small a number to achieve greatness. Whatever
your vision or desire, teamwork makes that dream work. It doesn’t matter how
talented you may be, you still have gaps. Whether simple or complex, there are
things you don’t just do well. It is therefore wise to partner with others who
have strength in your weak areas.
It’s
always a rewarding experience when we work together with our others toward a
common goal. We often get better results from less work. Teams involve more people,
more resources, more ideas and more energy than an individual possesses and
when we learn to work as teams in our workstreams, we maximize our leader’s
potentials and minimize his or her weaknesses because everyone brings multiple
perspectives to bear on how to meet a need or reach a goal thus giving us more
options and alternative solutions.
Individuals
play the game but teams win championships. One person seeking glory doesn’t accomplish
much; the best results will definitely come as a result of people working
together to meet common goals. Getting people to work together is sometimes a
challenge and leaders must therefore take responsibility for inspiring team
members to stretch themselves to work hard for the common objective.
Let’s
create an environment where our relationships can grow as we become more
connected to one another as teammates. It’s high time we extended trust to one
another no matter the initial hurt we think could result from individual’s inefficiencies.
I believe we can all earn trust from one another when we hold ourselves to a
high standard. The stronger our sense of community becomes, the greater our
potential to work together as a family. This of course, does not mean that
there won’t be conflicts, tension or disagreements but we can always work them
out.
As
a member of a team, always find a way to add value to others. You are not
merely there to make a living. You are there to help amplify your organization’s
results. You are there to enrich the business. You are there to travel far with
the institution. This is the only way you can accomplish more as an individual
and increase in value.
This
is a choice we all have to make.
You
will reach your Zenith!
