Evolve and Excel 2013: CIPM’s 45th Annual Conference- What will happen?


There are many challenges and opportunities on the horizon, and the organizers of this year’s conference are looking at how to incorporate those to make the CIPM event a better, more user-friendly one. It was created to be a valuable resource for HR pros and business leaders, and that mission is about being fulfilled!
I may not be fully clear about what will happen at the annual conference this year but borrowing a leaf from what came out of the event last year, the sessions are really going to be amazing and filled with all kinds of new experiences for the attendees! A new session has been included and it’s the HR Clinic! HR Subject Matter Experts will be addressing myriads of issues and practical, real life challenges confronting HR practitioners. The session will be moderated and chaired by the President of the Institute, Mr. Victor Famuyibo, FCIPM and the discussants are:

·      Mr. Sunday Funsho Korode, FCIPM, Group Director, HR/Admin, IGI Plc

Although some of the discussions at the conference are often theoretical, certainly not the HR Clinic! It is an opportunity to recharge and renew delegates’ spirit to face challenges on day-to-day basis. This must be an appropriate and a fitting tribute to the reason the HR Clinic’s maiden session will take place at the event in the first place.
Some people will walk away with action items. Some people will walk away with new ideas and concepts. Some people will definitely walk away with the spirit and energy they need to continue their own “advancement to excellence” in their workplace. It will be so incredible for those who created this event to see how much of an impact it’s going to have on people everywhere.
